Casual
light comfortable clothing. The evenings can get cool with a sea breeze
so something warm for the evening is recommended.
If doing one of our northern P.N.G trips bring some very light clothing,
which offers sun protection for our trips ashore to some of the villages.
If you plan to stay overnight in Port Moresby dress is relaxed and casual.
A shirt with collar, long pants and shoes (not runners) for men and
equally tasteful dress for women will suffice. While visiting village
regions women should wear clothes that cover their waist to knees, eg.
skirts or sarongs and in this way you are sure to avoid upsetting village
customs.

By
far the greatest threat to health is sunburn. Give this your most careful
attention. Always wear a sunscreen. Even sitting in the shade on the boat
does not protect you from the reflected light on bright sunny days.
